Jim "Hawkeye" Hickey is a weather presenter for TVNZ in New Zealand. He was the senior weathercaster for TVNZ from 1988 until 2003, returning in 2007 to replace Brendan Horan. His nickname refers to his love of archery, as explained on a news presentation in 2011.
Hickey has presented the TVNZ programmes A Flying Visit, Jim's Car Show, Hows the Weather Jim? and The Real Middle Earth.
Jim has four children and now lives in New Plymouth after moving from Auckland to be closer to family.
He has a Diploma of Meteorology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with specialization in climatology.
